ProtoCoyote isn’t in Houston — we’re a precision machine shop in Magnolia, 45 minutes to an hour north depending on which side of town you’re on. We machine parts for Houston engineering teams, manufacturers, and product companies: prototypes, short runs, and repeat production.
Houston has no shortage of machine shops, and plenty of them are very good at high-volume work. What’s harder to find is a shop that will take a 20-piece prototype run seriously, hold a tight tolerance on it, and put the person programming your part on the phone. That’s the gap we work in, and for a lot of Houston companies the drive north is a fair trade for it.

Our Hardinge RS-51MY is a super-precision turning center with live tooling and a Y-axis, so small precision parts come off complete.

Between Johnson Space Center and the Houston Spaceport at Ellington, Houston has an unusual concentration of aerospace and commercial space work — prototype hardware, iterated fast, to tolerances that matter. We’re engineer-owned, so a design question gets answered by someone who can also cut the part.
